Hosted Trips
Its all supposed to end in December of 2012, so lets go fishing while we can. Alaska is always my special fishing place and the home for Mystic Waters. However, the fishing calendar is longer than June through October and before the projected Mayan apocalypse in Dec 2012, I figure I’m going to get in as much fly fishing as possible. With that in mind, I’m planning dates for several hosted trips.
Stacy will be down in Baja again, running his new 23’ Cobia and chasing down Rooster Fish and other legendary salt water creatures. If all goes well, we plan to offer Baja in the spring of 2012. Stacy is already experienced down there; he’s just not had the mobility of owning his own boat. He has also been fishing the beaches with Justin Crump and Kate Taylor. They have things pretty well dialed in. I have made several trips and want to go back asap.
I have been talking with Andrew Bennett from Deneki Outdoors about hosting a week at Andros South in the Bahamas. They have a sweet location in the newly professed bonefish capital of the world. Lots of water with little pressure and lots of bonefish; some of them very nicely sized. It sounds like a visit is in order. Right now, we are planning March 24-31, 2012. Last May we had a great trip to Islamorada. I hosted a group at Roland Martin’s Lime Cay and we chased giant tarpon. It would be easy to add a couple Key days before or after the Andros trip.
If anyone is interested in a remote trip to western Alaska in 2012, we are looking at July 6-13 on the Kanektok with Alaska West. It will be salmon slam week with Kings, sockeye, and chums running, along with a dose of good mousing and swinging for rainbows on the side.
I will be based in Montana until June. I am working with my good friend Brian Neilsen of Fin Fetchers Outfitters here. If anyone wants to fish on the Missouri River this spring, give me a call.
Join us in Alaska, Montana, Florida, Bahamas and Mexico.
