Transitions

by Mysticfish on October 28, 2011

My migration is complete.  In other words, I have changed zip codes again.  The evolution of inserting me into my family home is always a bit tricky though.  I’m back, but I can’t solve everyone’s problems just by being here.  My opinions need to be carefully expressed, because I was not here to give them only a few days ago and they may or may not be welcome.  My stuff is partially unpacked, but it’s always hard to find a place for it.  My spaces have been covered by other peoples stuff.  It might just be easier to live out of a duffel bag and keep my stuff out in the garage and in the boat until June again.

Then there are household issues; the dishes, the laundry, the yard, the trash, the groceries, pet needs, the practices, the driving schedules and a myriad of other tasks that must have been resolving themselves, but are now staring at me.  It really is great to be home.

Here is a view from the road.  You can cruise the Alaska Highway in just over one minute.

Thanks Howard. It really is good to be home, even though they forgot to leave me any spaces.

Welcome home, Fred!

Great…and I mean GREAT job on your little video of the return trip! Though I’ve done the AK highway only twice it was fun to watch the highway snaking its way through that stunning country side. Can’t wait until we’re heading up that road again.

Good luck with the family ‘re-integration’. I’m sure all will be right by the time the holidaze roll up.

Thanks for ALL your updates to your Blog/website this past season. While we were unable to make it to that Great State this year, I was able to live vicariously through all your clients, Stacy’s and your experiences. Excellent job! Knowing what your schedule is like in the full-on-press of Alaska summer guiding, my tattered hat is off to you for being able to get it ALL done.

Take the breather that you’ve earned. Knock back some suds or single malt and keep us in the loop during the upcoming seasons, destination trips and Missouri fishing.

Happy trails and Tight lines.
