With so many options to choose from, Fred Telleen finally has gone over to the Spey side. Learning that using two hands are definitely better than one when it comes to the power required to fish some of the bigger rivers Alaska has to offer, Fred whips up some water with a big two-hander.

I just returned from two weeks fishing the Kenai with friends. Had a great time, lots of big Dolly’s and several Rainbows to 26″. On the flight home I read your article in Fish Alaska. It gave me a who new perspective on fishing spey and switch rods. I look forward to trying all the techniques you mentioned.
Many thanks
Greg

Glad you had a good trip Greg. Lots of room for 2 handers on the Kenai.

Fred, I read the article a few days ago. It was well done. I need to learn to use the spey rod I have.
